Thinking of My Mother
My aunt and uncle gave this plant to my mother in February 2003 after her cancer diagnosis. When she died later that year, I brought the plant to my house. I've given small clumps to other family members, and it is still full and thriving. I especially like it when it has those delicate white flowers. It sits on the same table as my laptop computer, so as I work here, the plant is less than 18" away. I love the plant and find comfort in it's growth. The uncle died last year in his early 90's, and the aunt is confined in a facility for folks who are losing memory and can't live independently. I took it outside today for this photo. You might like it in large.
