Tour of Southland

I had to stop to let these cyclists past as they were riding in the 'Tour of Southland'.  They were heading towards Lake Hayes, and then up the Ski Road to Coronet Peak.  I was surprised at the noise the tyres made on the road as they sped past.  There were about 100 cyclists in this group, along with back up cars and motorcycles.  I was heading to the airport to pick up my daughter who has come home for the weekend.  Off to Luggate now for a family meal.  It has been a lovely warm day.
