Shining

Took Beck off to a special Halloween screening of Kubrik's take on 'The Shining' and left Katie to fend off any trick or treaters. A bit of a cultural contrast with last night's Lloyd Cole gig at the Glee Club. Not that that wasn't excellent too - nice stripped back re-workings of lots of old songs and he's drafted in his son, William, on back-up guitar to add a bit of oomph to the second half of the set ('Hey Rusty' was particularly good, if anyone's interested in that kind of thing...) Tomorrow night we'll stop in and eat cake...
