Hey! Bluejay!

Looking back over my journal entries, I realize that I have very seldom if ever blipped the Noble Blue Jay. They are multi-talented creatures! Many a time having heard what I thought was a Red-shouldered Hawk, I've looked around only to spot a Blue Jay doing it's 'body-bobbing' dance and calling out loudly, very loudly, in perfect imitation of a hawk, at least to my ears it's 'perfect'. And Blue Jays are consummate flyers. They seem to revel in their ability to dodge and weave through the trees as they zero in on their favorite bird feeder. I once witnessed a Jay out maneuver a hungry hawk. It just left that predator in the dust! So in honor of this boisterous, pushy and impressive bird...I'm spotlighting the Blue Jay for Wild Wednesday!
