Seen better days

Before fitting the new belt to my washing machine I had checked the pulley and it felt a little worse for wear, so I ordered a new one.

Tonight, in preparation fo rthe arrival of the new pulley tomorrow I removed the old one. It has seen better days, I have reason to believe that the circles on the left were formerly part of the rear bearing on the drum. Whatever not only does the pulley need replacing, but also the bearings need changing.

However, although I will replace the bearings, I will let my daughter have the repaired machine and get myself a new one.
