First frost

It suddenly feels like Autumn today as there was frost on the fields when I walked Jess this morning.  Even as I lifted this leaf to photograph it the frost was rapidly disappearing in the sun.

I love everything about this time of year, the colours, the berries, the nip in the air, and the unexpected sunshine when it happens.  The only downside for me is the dark long evenings.
