The South Sudanese embassy was a remarkably delightful experience. I know this sounds sarcastic but it genuinely isn't. Both Alison and I emerged saying it was our most pleasant embassy experience ever. Contrary to expectations.

It's near the BT Tower in that area of London where you can't move for embassies and men striding with long black umbrellas.

I had a quick ginger ale after work with my friend Zoe and when I remarked how I am not in a relationship she acknowledged I am eligible but added 'you do have an impractical lifestyle somewhat'. I thought back to where I'd visited this morning and decided she had an excellent point.
