The young lad triggers a 'live' eCall
I worked on Jaguar Land Rover's telematics project for over 3 years. I was told by people who told me they know better than me that the eCall button had been designed to be child proof. Interestingly enough, they don't have children. I tried to point out the obvious flaws, but I was told by the people who told me they know better than me not to be negative. Some years on, my 3 year old called emergency services via the child proof eCall button within the time it took me to install his child seat in the BMW 3-Series courtesy car lent to me by my car repairer. 30 secs max.
Turns out I might have been right ...
