Bhutan Government Transport Service
I was inspired in today’s blip by Marcus Hediger's reminiscing with his Dad’s photo.
Kathy and I and our two children spent a year in Thimphu, Bhutan back in 1983-84.
The Bhutan Government Transport Service at that time was a fleet of heavy duty trucks and buses that carried everything and everybody.
My Bhutanese friend, Karma Wangchuk, and I made a trip to Tango Monastery in the Thimphu Valley.
Karma is purchasing our tickets in this photo; he is partially obscured behind the front of the truck.
The extra photo shows me with my camera when we were stopped to unload some of the cargo and people.
A most memorable adventure both in the truck and at the monastery.
