Ours

This is our shed and is probably the least legal of all. It has a concrete base which it shouldn't. It has a steel frame which it shouldn't. It has electricity which it shouldn't. Had it a wooden frame and sheet metal cladding it would be regarded as a temporary structure and so would not require a building permit and could be situated close to the boundary. It doesn't have a building permit and is too close to the boundary. We have made it as discreet as possible even though the neighbour on that boundary has died and all his relatives are somewhere in North America.

The roof, the door and the window are all salvaged from our guest cottage. The purpose of the shed was to keep all the wine-making equipment, store the butternut squashes, sweet potatoes and the freezer and to keep all the tools and maintenance items stored tidily. Tidily was overoptimistic.
