possibly lapwings

Went off on a voyage of discovery to find a place I last visited with my friend Sheila (now sadly deceased) when I lived in S Yorkshire around 1984. Eventually managed to find it - Denaby Ings. I think "ings" must be a Yorkshire word as it doesn't appear in my Chambers dictionary. I took lots of shots of ducks but as my bird books are 250 miles north of here, I chose one with birds I think I recognise - lapwings (as well as varieties of gulls).
