Cleared for take off

Another nice morning so I nipped out to Weston Turville Reservoir for a quick walk & a look around. It was all quiet apart from an oldish chap walking his dog. We passed the time of day before he suddenly said " Its a shame we can't bring back Guy Fawkes so he could blow up Parliament.....my dog could do a better job than those folk "...

Once he disappeared into the distance I got accosted by three older Cygnets obviously looking to supplement their food allowance. Unfortunately they didn't get anything from me but continued to follow me for some way whistling in an appealing way. On one of these occasions I swung around and realised that a Grey Heron was stood just yards from me. I managed to fire off a number of shots as he took off & this was the shot I like the best. Lots of ducks & waterfowl but I didn't hang about as I had to be back to take C to the hairdressers. I dropped her there then went & parked up & had a walk along the towpath in the town...I always meet someone to chat to & today I stopped to talk to a couple from Uxbridge who were in Aylesbury for the day - I ask you Tourists in Aylesbury - amazing ! They told me that since they have retired they always go out on a Thursday & today they had plumped for Aylesbury !!

Back to pick the lady up & then home for lunch. The boys have smashed up all the sub - base of the old patio & taken it away...

So lots of pictures to look at this afternoon & then we went for our Flu jabs. Mine is always complicated because I must have it subcutaneously - no one ever knows how it should be administered so its always a giggle. I must say that Sharon did a fab job & we were soon on our way.

Home now & C has decided to make chilli - I had promised to make rice pudding but I'll make it tomorrow otherwise it will be too much rice....

A nice day with intervals of sun but mostly cloudy & cold.

Thanks everyone for the stars & hearts for yesterday's blip - much appreciated !
