I Am Not Ashamed

A t-shirt I made at Powerpoint a few years ago; the theme was "I am not ashamed of the gospel". And indeed I am not. I will happily tell anyone and everyone that as humans we were in an impossible situation with the mess of our disobedience and there was nothing we could do about it. But God, the one who made us, loves us and made a way out of the mess by sending Jesus to take the blame in our stead, meaning we can approach God and know him where before we couldn't.

God's love for us is at the heart of the cross, the heart of the gospel. And God's love should be at the heart of each of our lives, too.
