Much Better
A little stiff from so long on my feet yesterday I got up to find I was the only one ready for rugby.
Nevertheless we made it in plenty of time and Clare joined us shortly after kick off.
The match was against another 'district' side, Penzance, and after 'waltzing' two tries past our lads and getting over confident they suddenly got the shock of their lives when Falmouth decided to get stuck into them. With Falmouth dominating the scrum, tackling hard and rucking well this meant that Penzance's domination of possession didn't lead to an avalanche of tries as in previous weeks.
At the end of the match, despite having lost, Falmouth had played the better rugby and gained confidence.
More Poppy Collecting for the RBL in the afternoon before home and a coffee before setting off as coach driver for the works firework trip.
We left at 1745 and arrived in Liskeard at 1850 in time to find the bonfire almost burnt out, catch the tail end of the chairmans speech but in time for the fireworks.
Food cleared away within thirty minutes of us arriving, bar shut and off you go!!
I don't think the clocks go back in east Cornwall on the same day as the rest of us.
The alternative would be to think that they don't bother about the smaller branch of the company.
