Painted Lady

I was supposed to be cleaning the house, but when I was in the kitchen a Painted Lady fluttering around the yard caught my eye. You guessed it, out I went with the camera and tried to sit as still as possible so it would settle somewhere close by.

It was not seeking out the lantana as much as finding warm spots to light and rest. No nectar from these flowers!

I did finish part of my cleaning but ran out of enthusiasm when it came to the dusting. I don't know why I have such an aversion to that part of the job! 

I am grateful that I have a house to clean.....  just wish it was a once a year job!
