As promised...

... peony #2.  Spent the evening at the George Hotel where the Royal Commonwealth Society had invited mum and other recent medal recipients to a ceremony to celebrate the awards locally. About 12 or 15 or so people. The citation was read and then the person was able to say a few words.  Some were more interesting than others as you would expect!

Mum's speech was very much from the heart. Very proud of you mum. When you said you wondered why Government House would be writing to you and thought perhaps they wanted you to run a line dancing fun night, I nearly roared with laughter. Excellent comment!   Made other people laugh too.
