It's PIMMS time

This blip was inspired by Philiphoto's entry yesterday the 15th August. So thank you very much for the idea.

When Mum went into care a number of years ago, we had to clear her home, and I found, many - many bottles of very expensive and sought after wines, and amongst them were these three bottles of Pimms. These all belonged to my Father as part of his private collection of wines and spirits.
He had been in the business as manager for a large brewery in the north and took early retirement to enjoy his cellar. Unfortunately he died six months after his retirement and never got to enjoy them.

So when my son came home over the weekend we decided to have a beano, at 60% proof it was going to be some party. How wrong we were, Dad had opened them over 40 years ago and they didn't taste very nice at all, even with all that alcohol they'd gone off. Oh well - so I filled them with cold coffee and now they sit there on the dresser as ornaments,
