No Entry

Thanks for the comments/concern/amusement (thanks Annie!) over my car predicament yesterday. It turned out "only" to need a new battery but given I'm only keeping the car for less than another two weeks I could have done without it. C'est la vie.

After an excellent evening and late (for us) night last night (Joe Stilgoe in front of a very small audience in Cambridge; what a talented guy! Well worth seeing if you get a chance) we have had a fairly lazy day today. I did have to go out at one point and photographed these gates. The Hall they conceal used to be an 'alternative healing' clinic and many years ago we happened to spot the Princess of Wales (formerly Lady Diana Spencer) arriving there for a stay. Perhaps unusually for a large country house used for commercial purposes it was then sold into private ownership and the new owner has spent millions converting it back into a private residence.
