Dahlias

have eventually bloomed.The photo shows 3 blooms until my clumsy  kind son came to mow the lawn and snapped the head off one :(  It's been freezing cold today. My great nephew was married today we weren't invited .That's OK as weddings are expensive but we were invited to the Evening do. I declined as hubby couldn't go and its somewhere near Alnwick.l wouldn't drive that far for fear of causing multiple pileups on the A1. I am in the bad books now. At this moment in time l imagine they will be all pie eyed  not noticing my absence. Families eh :(
