Royal Wootton Bassett.

My friend Lynne and I went to Royal Wootton Bassett to have a look at the yarn bombing that has occurred this this week. It was pouring all morning so taking photos was really difficult.

On Tuesday some mystery knitters left poppies all along the High St in preparation for Remembrance Day. Some were left on the windowsills, some on doors, a couple of trees and of course the Poppy Man....the people we spoke to said it was just the loveliest thing....

The Poppy Man was shrouded in plastic because of the rain, but a kind gentleman removed it so that we could take some pictures. His wife had knitted some of them and he was keen to protect them.
