...and then it rained
We've needed rain (and lots of it) but when it comes on a Saturday (and the first day of my holiday), the temperature drops and it starts to blow as well as rain, the novelty wears off quickly.
I ventured out and spent more money on stuff to fix my ailing tomato plants than I'll recoup at harvest time. If they live and thrive I'll have the satisfaction of eating my own home grown tomatoes - yum!
The weather needs to clear before I can administer their medicine. Dad can grow wonderful tomatoes. I wish I had that gene.
They don't look happy but my Cos and Drunken Woman lettuce are enjoying the rain. They thrive much more from rain than the garden hose. In a day or two they'll look like Triphods.
