who would live in a house like this
well, some small people, a couple of miniature dogs... possibly Thomas the Tank engine, maybe George, with his giant dragon sat on the roof, perhaps a couple of small cars that have been anthropomorphised...
Me and little un had a lovely afternoon at our friend H's house... I haven't caught up with H for quite some time, (we became friends whilst working together and always enjoyed a really good chat... I've been very lucky that so many of my colleagues have over the years become bonafide friends and have continued to stay connected)
So after spending the afternoon, lunching, chatting and playing, this (allegedly Georgian themed) dolls house, was gifted to little un by H and her now grown up children...
little un is really taken with it and lovingly set up all the people and furniture before bath and bedtime tonight. In fact the people are tucked in and snuggled under their own blankets, just like she is...
We've been considering getting her a dolls house for a while, as she does like to arrange and place things... so this was serendipity...she seems very taken with the house, and I feel very lucky to have such good friends. I'm also grateful that they have all taken such a shine to young tiddlypom and have been so generous and welcoming...
It's been a happy, lovely day :-)
P.S. in other news this week, Little un went to nursery twice and had a good time both times (huge progress and a bit of a hallelujah moment)
I had a whole cup of tea and uninterrupted conversation with my mum, whilst little un was at said nursery class...
I'm also just starting my first OU assignment for this module... all about 'Theory of Mind' in regular human development, animals and artificial intelligence ( just a small subject... no pressure!)
Dave has been out and about, making connections and chatting about interesting projects...all sorts of possibilities in the pipeline...
and I have been thinking about fabrics and crafting and casting and moulding and generally mulling over how to make stuff, and where I'm going to find the space to do it... a new house would be great, especially if it had this many rooms... but this particular one won't quite suit, not quite the right scale... so I might be blagging garage space off the crumblies or setting up a tent in our back yard.... wherever there's will there's a way...
