This wins Headline of the Month for me.

School did not go well today. He was already reticent then, for some reason instead of going straight to class like yesterday (to get them into a familiar routine), we were hustled to the full canteen where the decibel levels were putting me on edge, let alone the little ones. I could see them all crumbling around me.
For another unknown reason we were then herded out to the playground where it was even noisier and that was it for Felix - he just lost it.

It was about 10 minutes before any teachers arrived to take them to class and by that point about 15 of them were in bits. They had to be prised off and were led away howling and confused and scared.

I can safely say it was one of the worst feelings I've ever felt when I had to walk away and leave him there crying for me.
There were complaints from a lot of the parents and no wonder. I can't believe they didn't keep things low-key for the first few days.

He used to cry occasionally when I left him at nursery but I never worried too much because I knew he was in a familiar environment and would be fine within minutes.

He was ok when I picked him up but when he told me about his day turns out he'd cried two more times after getting lost. Once when he couldn't find his way to the toilet and then after playtime he lost his teacher and couldn't find his way back to the classroom. How can he be allowed to get 'lost'?!

I'll speak to them tomorrow and find out what happened.
