Bolton Castle

Today we visited Wensleydale on family matters.

On the way we passed Bolton Castle, famous for the imprisonment of Mary Queen of Scots in 1568/69.

Now a visitor attraction and wedding venue it is well worth a visit.

Many years ago it was the venue of my 21st birthday party and a place where I've attended several weddings over the years.
