Stairs to heaven

Cold morning, clear and beautiful -6c. Woke up feeling fit, energetic and bright after ice-swimming and sauna in the evening.

On the way to visiting to grandparents aka parents in law, I asked my son (driving first time in real & slippery winter conditions) to make a pit stop to the common sauna and beach we were bathing yesterday.

I wanted to show you the huge icicles of the swimming stairs at the beach. Felt a bit furious to walk down the stairs yesterday into the cold water - you just have to empty your mind and go. After swimming you feel very warm.

I wonder about the feeling in crispy winter ... remains to be felt later!

Big lake smoking in sun as temperature was low and water still warmer than air. 

Our son did drive very well and smoothly on partly icy roads. I am proud of him, but of course I have promised that he is dedicated to drive every day for now on during winter. Worse contitions is coming and he has to learn more...
