What a difference a year makes!!

Or “everything comes to she who waits”
 
A year ago tomorrow I was checking out the oven to see if I could bake a Dundee cake, a favourite of B’s many years ago. Well the oven we inherited was useless, but now we have a new one which was spot on time today to produce this little gem :0)
 
I’m no domestic goddess. I would rather make things that last…..like my sewing and other crafty activities……rather than produce something that disappears quickly and if taken to excess reappears in places that make clothes tight!!!!
 
The girls are safely at home so no fear for them this evening. We can open the curtains and watch the fireworks going on around us.
