Nature is never far away here in Akureyri

I've really enjoyed those last few weeks with my preschoolers and co-workers.  The autumn colours have been exceptionally bright and beautiful and I'm thankful for being able to spend more time outdoors on weekdays.  This photo is taken in one corner of the playground where the children can spend hours in "the woods", sometimes acting out fairy tales and pretending to be Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf...
