Gore Glen Weir

After the local coffee morning (which for me means bacon rolls and a cup of tea), we took a walk around Gore Glen. This is the weir and although I can't find when it was built, google did reveal that Arniston Estate built a Hydro-Electric Generating Station to provide power to the house when coal was in short supply during the Miners Strike in 1973.
