Autumn colour in Horner Wood
Arrived at The Exmoor White Horse Inn in Exford, Exmoor yesterday afternoon for a photography workshop with Light and Land. We met up with our photography tutor, Peter Hendrie and the rest of the group, including friends Neil Jackson, Terry Smith and Diane Smith, for an introductory meeting before dinner and then an early night before the workshop began today.
An early start for sunrise photographing trees in the mist and fog over the north side of Exford. Back for a hearty breakfast before heading over to Horner Wood where the beach trees were in their full Autumnal colours (where this blip was taken).
A quick coffee stop in Horner tea rooms and then on to Porlock Weir on the coast. Back to Horner Plantation for some more woodland colour before ending the day back at Porlock Weir photographing the groynes as the tide was coming in (see extra).
A critique session in the evening was followed by a wonderful three course dinner (plus the obligatory wine)! A quick drink in the bar before retiring to bed.
A really great start to the workshop - looking forward to tomorrow :-)
Annoying that the colours haven't come across nearly as vibrant as in my photo or as they were in real life :(
