I just went out with a mate to ride around slowly and take some photos following my "incident" on Tuesday. It turns out my bike was indeed damaged and I'm thankful I found out going slowly uphill rather than speeding downhill - the rear stay on my 2 month old carbon frame snapped into 3 pieces, bringing me to an instant standstill. The insurance company is going to love me.
