Washington Old Hall

Visited a couple of National Trust properties today.

Firstly to the coast and Souter Lighthouse and a walk along the coastal path and then to Washington Old Hall. The Hall is lovely and full of the history of how George Washington's ancestors took the name of the village (as it then was) with them to America.

The photo is of a creative design cut into the box hedging of the cottage next to the car park.

The day was finished off with a visit with my sister and her husband :O)
