High Summer in The Glen

It's been an amazing day here, warm sunny and a little breeze to keep the midges at bay. Bella has been camping in the garden, swimming in the river, collecting pine cones and generally having a lovely time.

Meanwhile I've been fixing strimmers, putting up new blinds and having the occasional snooze while our crofting chums have been cutting and drying hay for the annual silage crop. Our new neighbour's four children are having a high old time enjoying the summer, trampolining and playing in the fields I think they'll be some big yawns in school tomorrow.

High summer full of high spirits-would we have it any other way?
