Road trip

So the big little one and I are road tripping across the UK. Due to the rain and traffic last night first stop was Thurrock services to exchange dogs with parents. Whilst there we saw two lads who had been stuck there for a number of hours. They were doing a charity race from Edinburgh to Paris and had to hitchhike there. We felt bad for them standing out in the cold, I had left my wallet at home and although we had decided I would be ok without it we used this as a bit of an excuse to drive back to my house, then sorted them a lift to Dover. They were lovely lads and although it was a 2 hour detour we are glad we did it. Plus I picked up my wallet!

So onwards to Cornwall stopping at services for lunch and Stone Henge, just because it has to be done, beautiful sunset enroute and finally made it to the YHA at the Eden project about 7pm. Our room is a converted shipping container, very cool! I bagsied the double bed as I did all the driving (and also the extra pillow as I am mean!) Went to a lovely restaurant for dinner and I had some amazing creamy garlic, mushroom broccoli cheesy pasta bake. We were so tried and collapsed into bed just after 9pm, such party animals!!
