Metaphor

Been nursing a cold since Friday, so apart from going out for 45 minutes to see the fireworks l've been snuggled up inside.
Decided early afternoon to go out for a short walk, it was good to get some fresh air and it was the only time of the day that it wasn't raining.
Couldn't help but think of my nose when l saw these crab apples/rosehips ( what are they?)
