Chievo 1 Juventus 2

I managed to get a ticket to see Chievo Verona play Italian League leaders Juventus at the Stadio Bentegodi today. Juve won 2-1.  After Mandzukic put Juve ahead, Pellissier equalised from the penalty spot. Juve's Pjanic scored the winner with a superb free kick. Juve could have scored another two near the end.

A most enjoyable afternoon - even the rain stopped. There was tight security on entering the ground: I have never before had to show my passport at a football match. But once inside, everyone was relaxed and amiable. I even managed to buy a beer without leaving my seat. Very civilised.
