Autumn warmth

I had an unprecedented amount of natters today and I enjoyed every one of them.

I'd spotted smoke coming from a little copse of trees on the way out with Little Dog. There's nothing like fire to ignite a little photographic temptation!  

On exploring, I discovered this lady stoking a small fire.  After I'd taken a few pictures, I wandered over to have a chat  and explain that she epitomised autumn and I couldn't resist taking a photo.  She owns quite a lot of land in the vicinity and was clearing garden waste but taking the opportunity of burning some Himalayan balsam that had started encroaching on their fields.  I'd noticed it a few months back and wondered how quickly it would build up.  Hopefully, now, it won't.
