Beech

Our U3A Photo Group met today. We each had to contribute images to fit the theme of Buds and Bark. I took Maisie for a walk around the Taylor Dam and Lake this morning where I photographed images of different barks and catkins. This image shows a bunch of ?catkins on a beech tree. I am unsure what they are classified as. I hope someone more knowledgeable will be able to correctly name them for me.
