'Hairy' fly in the bright sunshine

Today we had brilliant sunshine interspersed with intense but short bursts of rain. This photo was taken on my bike ride home from work during a dry spell, in a grassy patch on the business park where I work. I think it is a blow-fly or a flesh-fly, not sure which, but it IS bristly and quite striking, isn't it?
