More Kyoto

A dull grey morning. The Higashi Honganji temple is huge. It claims to have one of the world's largest wooden buildings. This version of it was built in 1895 after the previous one burned down. 

I also went to Nijo castle and then for a walk around the park surrounding the Imperial palace. The view looking across the park to the palace is in the extras.

I thought I'd escape the arrival of Christmas in November by being in Asia. I didn't. The last extra is Kyoto station.
