When the Boat Comes in.......

Glorious day today and really warm.
Pottered around most of the day, a little work,
a little shopping a cup of coffee and caught some rays.

Evening promised to be superb.
I had to collect my daughter from her evening shift at Union Square
So went across early to Esplanade Road and the Battery anticipating
warm colours and a bit of a sea from the wind the last couple of days.
I had planned to photograph the slipway below the lighthouse but the tide was out.
The slipway turned out to be a jetty stretching right out from the shore.
I ventured out onto it, a little hairy with the sea that was running but then had a view back towards the harbour mouth.
A number of people were fishing off the rocks at Dee Mouth perfectly silhouetted against the sun whenever they stood up.
The sky slowly turned orange and then a boat came out.
