Mentoring

At the conference, I shared a room with one of our undergraduate students, Miss M. Exceedingly bright, Miss M. is is trying very hard to figure out THIS MINUTE what she should do with the rest of her life. It was quite fun to walk someone through how to behave at a professional gathering. Is it OK to jump between sessions? Do I really call everyone here by their first names? Is it OK to get someone's contact information after the session and ask for a copy of their presentation?

We need to do a better job involving our undergrads in conferences. Lucky me, the next conference of this particular organization is in my home town, and I will be heavily involved in organizing it.
