Blooming?

I've just heard the weather report for tomorrow.  There is a very high chance of significant snow.   What then is this hebe bush doing blooming?  It came into flower only last week.    Clearly it didn't hear that snow and frost is on the way.

I did.   And for that reason,  my spring bulbs might be planted in the spring!!
