Knitter's Intrigue
Tired of knitting socks that go round and round? This is the book for you. As it says on the cover, the socks are knit every which way! I bought it a couple of months ago and now have the time to start a project. The one I chose is essentially squares that are knit in such a way that they create an interesting design and form to the foot.
The extra photo is the first square, which begins in the center. On the foot, this beginning circle is under the ball of the foot, and two points go up around the sides and one toward the toes.
The square which is green on my sock is knit onto two of the sides, and then the section that around the sides and under the rest of the foot bottom is knit.
One thing I like about this is that you are always knitting onto live stitches - no picking up stitches around the edge or sewing squares together.
