The Gardener's Cottage

Tonight John and I went for dinner at the Gardener's Cottage. This is a new restaurant that opened on London road in June 2012. It was an old ruined cottage that has been empty for years (I think) and has been recently refurbished.

We couldn't get a table until 9.30pm so we went to what used to be Utopia on Easter road first. It's now a Bier House & Kitchen. It was brilliant - lots of genuinely lovely bottled beers on sale.

We headed on over to the Gardener's Cottage afterwards and had a delightful meal. It's a fixed menu at £25 a head for 5 courses. You don't get a choice, you simply have what they have on that night (they ask when you book if you have any dietary requirements). It was a lovely evening. I would definitely recommend it to everyone! I would say though, get in there now before it gets more expensive...and it will!
