(Earthly) aerial perspective

At a local parade of shops, a striking view over the rooftops of Lone Mountain. We are told that the flash floods here are phenomenal, but in 4 visits we've been unlucky (or, perhaps lucky) enough not to have seen one. The sky was threatening for an hour or so this afternoon, but cleared and we're back to the desert climate.
