In Opera House Lane

All day meeting in Wellington. Finished early enough to be able to go out for a walk before joining others in the hotel lobby bar before dinner. On the walk, I wandered down Opera House Lane, a narrow way beside the Wellington Opera House. 

Each of the large rectangular spaces on the wall between pillars has a painting representing an aspect of the sorts of entertainment that might be seen on stage within. Below those spaces is a smaller area, less well lit, and usually without decoration. At one point, however, was this painting which really took my fancy
