Fourteen locks Canal Centre

Another nice start to the day but still very cold, had a drive up to fourteen locks here in Newport
Fourteen Locks Canal Centre is a popular family attraction that is located in one of the most picturesque areas of Newport and offers an active heritage experience for everyone.
It is situated at the top of the famous Cefn Flight of Locks, which is recognised as an engineering wonder of the Industrial Revolution. As a result of the generous support of Heritage Lottery Funding two pairs of locks have been recently been completely restored. The locks are fascinating, but you don't just have to be interested in history to enjoy your visit.
