Lunch at Wetherspoons
Feeling a little stronger yesterday I gratefully accepted an offer from my kind neighbour Jan to take me on the bus into Ipswich for a meal at one of the town's three Wetherspoons - the Robert Ransome, close to Christchurch Park.
From their Mexican Monday menu I chose a naked burrito topped with pulled pork, washed down with a pint of Devil's Backbone and followed by lemon tart with fruit compote and ice cream - a super high-flavoured meal, very enjoyable but definitely requiring a stroll in the park afterwards.
We enjoyed that, too, albeit at a slow pace in weather which was sunny but fully justified the warning of a severe drop in temperature because of the bitterly cold north wind, so we did not stay too long and were glad to get the bus home after taking a few autumnal photos, a little less colourful than usual because the wind was rapidly stripping leaves from the trees before they could display their full glory.
My extra today; Autumn in the park
