My idea for this photo journal is to capture the everyday occurrence,
not so much the dramatic, spectacular shot. When I look back on a year
in pictures, I want the daily stuff I was doing, so I am sorry if I
don't have the gorgeous Eiger Mountain or some African plain. What I
have here is the raised grain of the deck I spent two days sanding and
staining. I have decided that I really love working with wood,
especially refinishing it so that the storyline of the wood, from
young tree to aged and weathered board, comes shining through. I like
that.
