stroll by the river

Went to see mum this morning. She's off to live in Ireland and is leaving tomorrow. I'm sad to see her go, especially at this time.

Pierre and I made burgers for lunch which were delicious and then we had a wee siesta.

I took Coquine out this afternoon to pick some petits bois for the fire and then came home and made some chocolate cupcakes (that I'm about to ice with Camp coffee buttercream!!!). Pierre lit the fire and the place is all cosy.

Have a bit of pain in my back this evening. Hoping it's nothing.

Think we'll settle in for the night with an episode of The Crown on Netflix :)
